I absolutely love this identity design for a website called Booki.sh. I love how they took a simple object such as a pair of reading glasses and turned it into the letter 'B'. I also love the wirey look of the type as well as the lovely contrasting blue and orange. Simple and chic, yet so modern! Love it!

I know a lot of people have already blogged about these amazing books designs by Coralie Bickford-Smith but I just have to share them anyway.
Also, she is coming out with even more designs either later this year or early next year. This time she has designed yet another cover for Charles Dickens classic. Bickford-Smith is coming out with her design for 'Bleak House' (so excited!!) and various other classics as well. The most recent designs include: Middlemarch by George Eliot, Dracula by Bram Stoker, and A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.

One of my favourite bands I discovered recently is a band called 'Seapony' and they are from Seattle.

Seapony's debut album 'Go with Me' is a charmingly low-key affair built around simple but hooky songs, sticky sweet vocals, and chiming guitars. Pitched in the sweet spot between C-86-style fuzz pop and early-'90s American indie rock (though definitely more of the latter), they may not be doing anything new, but it doesn’t matter when the songs and sounds are so pleasing.*
